I recently painted out at Fannie's place. She's a delightful older Amish woman who has turned her love of flowers into a business. It's a beautiful farm abounding with her beloved perennials and she graciously lets us paint there. After struggling most of the afternoon on my painting I gave it up and did this quick little sketch of Carla, my painting partner, before we headed back home.
