The thing about being an artist is that you can never just have a conversation with someone without noticing colors dancing about their face, or the brushstrokes in their hair. This lovely young lady came to our farm to purchase a horse. It was cold and windy and after spending a few hours convincing the horse that even though the trailer was VERY small, she really would just fit in there, I had to ask Shelli if she would mind if I painted her. She was bundled and cold so I snapped some photos, and this is the result
